About McAfee+
McAfee+ reinvented one of the oldest names in antivirus as an identity-first service. The core is now credit monitoring, identity theft insurance up to $1 million on higher tiers, and personal data cleanup, with the antivirus engine almost as a given. The unlimited-devices policy on Premium is unique among the big brands and makes it interesting for large households. There are counterpoints. Lab scores are good but not top-tier, the software pushes upsells constantly, and the renewal price roughly triples.

What McAfee+ costs after the first year
McAfee+ costs $49.99 for the first year and $149.99 a year from the second year on the McAfee+ Premium Individual plan, an increase of 200%. Both amounts were printed on mcafee.com when we read the page on September 8, 2026. Auto-renewal can be switched off in your McAfee+ account; the vendor’s own instructions are on its support page.
