About Aura
Aura approaches security from the identity side. Credit monitoring at all three US bureaus, near-real-time fraud alerts, dark web monitoring, and identity theft insurance up to $1 million per adult. The included antivirus and VPN are competent rather than class-leading, but that misses the point. Aura protects the thing that costs Americans the most when it goes wrong. Pricing is transparent by category standards, and the family plan covering five adults and unlimited children is the strongest deal in identity protection.
Aura pricing
Aura costs $12 per month, or $144 per year on the Individual (first year) plan. The top plan, Family (first year), costs $240 per year. List prices on annual billing, checked on 8 September 2026; paying monthly usually costs more.
Every plan Aura sells, with the yearly price next to the monthly one.

What Aura costs after the first year
Aura costs $144 for the first year on the Individual plan, read on aura.com on September 8, 2026. Aura does not publish a renewal price: the pages we read say the subscription renews at the price in force at that time, without an amount. Auto-renewal can be switched off in your Aura account; the vendor’s own instructions are on its support page.
Vendors without a printed renewal amount are listed as such in our Renewal Price Index, next to the 9 that do print one; the first-year price sits beside every other suite in the Price Index.

Aura was not in the AV-TEST home-user rounds we read on September 8, 2026, so there is no AV-TEST score to show. The participant list of the round is linked below.
Who was tested at AV-TEST, May-June 2026 (Windows 11)“The most complete all-in-one identity protection in this lineup, judged on what every plan includes. Three-bureau credit monitoring, fast alerts, up to $1 million insurance per adult, and antivirus plus VPN thrown in. Pricier than antivirus suites, but it is solving a more expensive problem.”Editorial team, via AntivirusShortlist
