How much does LifeLock cost per year?
LifeLock Standard is $89.99 for the first year and renews around $124.99 a year. Ultimate Plus, the plan that adds three-bureau credit monitoring, is $239.88 for the first year and renews around $339.99 (US pricing, checked June 2026). Price the tier you would actually use, because the entry plan watches one credit bureau.
The price people quote is the Standard tier: $89.99 for year one, then about $124.99 a year after that. It buys identity alerts, restoration support, and credit monitoring at one of the three US bureaus. That last detail is where most buyers get caught out.
Three-bureau monitoring, the feature most people picture when they think of identity protection, sits in Ultimate Plus at $239.88 for the first year, renewing around $339.99, with combined coverage up to $3 million. That is a different product at a different price, not a small upgrade.
The renewal jump itself is mild by the standards of this market. In our June 2026 comparison of first-year and renewal prices across sixteen brands, LifeLock rose about 1.4 times, against a market average near double. Identity plans start high, so they have less room to climb.
If three-bureau monitoring is what you want, compare it against Aura, which includes it in every plan at $144 a year for one adult. If you already run Norton, the bundled route is Norton 360 with LifeLock Select at $99.99 for the first year, renewing around $179.99.
Two habits keep the bill honest. Turn off auto-renewal on the day you buy, since you keep the cover for the term you paid for. And freeze your credit at Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, which is free and blocks most new-account fraud on its own.
