F-Secure (formerly also known through its WithSecure enterprise arm) is the suite we point to when people ask for a European alternative to the US giants. Total combines solid antivirus with the well-regarded Freedome VPN, a password manager, and identity monitoring. The interface is calm, the upsells are restrained, and the company’s Finnish privacy posture is a real differentiator. You give up some of Norton’s extras like cloud backup, but you gain a vendor that does not treat you as inventory.
